Demolition contractor in Mesa

Permits, utility shutoffs and hazardous material all come before the machines. We handle that part, then take the structure down and clear the site.

Permits and utility shutoffs

The City of Mesa permit process eats time, and it is unfamiliar ground for most owners. We file it, track it and tell you when it clears. No work starts until the permit is posted on site.

We call APS, Southwest Gas, the city water office, and any other provider. Every shutoff is confirmed in writing before equipment rolls in.

Permits, plan review and inspections all run through Mesa Development Services on North Center Street. One office holds your file.

Hazardous material comes out first

For anything built before 1980, asbestos and lead paint testing happens before demolition. Arizona rules and EPA rules both require it.

Mesa is in Maricopa County. The county needs an asbestos notice at least 10 business days before a teardown starts. For a full teardown, that notice goes in even if no asbestos turns up.

If a test comes back positive, we take that material out first. We book it early so it does not turn into a surprise delay.

The site is clear when we leave

Demolition throws off concrete, lumber, roofing, drywall, insulation and metal. All of it goes to licensed facilities under Maricopa County rules.

Where material can be recycled or salvaged instead of buried, we do that. It cuts the disposal cost on your invoice.

One contract through the rebuild

Often the teardown is step one of a remodel or a new build. We can carry the job through the rebuild on one contract.

You do not have to start over with another contractor once the site is clear.

Frequently asked questions

The questions owners ask us first, answered before you call.

Longer than owners expect. The city permit has its own review. The county asbestos notice runs at least 10 business days ahead, so we start both while we agree the scope and let the two clocks overlap.

Plan on one. Pool and spa removal changes the lot and touches utilities, so it goes through Mesa Development Services like any other structural work. We file it with the rest of the project.

Filling in is cheaper and faster. Full removal costs more but leaves buildable ground and avoids questions from a future buyer or lender. We price both and tell you which one suits what you plan to do with the yard.

Yes. Selective demolition is most of our Mesa residential work. We shore what stays, protect the finishes on the other side of the wall and remove only what the scope names.

Graded, swept and clear. All debris is hauled to licensed facilities, and we walk the lot with you before we close the job and hand over the permit closeout paperwork.

Yes. We hold the general contractor license, so a teardown can run straight into the rebuild on one contract. Owners who split those two jobs usually pay for the gap between them.
